If the workplace environment is not maintained safely and reliably, medical emergencies may occur more frequently. If an office area is fixed by power cords and unsafe equipment, employees can easily fall and get hurt.   

High-risk workplaces, such as construction sites, where employees work at heights or handle flammable materials, are normally more dangerous and can therefore lead to higher level of medical emergencies.  

Medical conditions that can trigger heart attacks and seizures are unpredictable, so we don't know when these medical emergencies will occur.  But being prepared and knowing how to deal with these emergencies will ensure that individuals can be rescued when emergencies occur.
